I love the use of the chalk in this. (I know you later wiped it off.) Then I looked at your current post, and saw the beautiful bird artwork. So designs can be drawn in simple white chalk then completed with acrylics or oil pastel and then rinsed in the sink. It is similar to using glue line on black construction paper. Here's a link to my original post using it for an O'keeffe flower lesson.
http://marymaking.blogspot.com/2015/03/georgia-okeeffe-flowers-with-roofing.html
It's fun canvas option I'm having fun playing around with.
Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01659049026365545639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-80492425982757478612015-05-20T02:34:54.844-07:002015-05-20T02:34:54.844-07:00I really like those bright acrylic dots. Christie is right that these paintings seem to be 3D painting.
ricardokeithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14721153139966945038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-13513864708125656592015-05-19T18:41:12.985-07:002015-05-19T18:41:12.985-07:00Fantastic pieces! I LOVE using all sorts of media on a dark background. Great contrast! I might have altered things a bit for my kinders looking back. But everyone had fun with this one.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01659049026365545639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-9368972252045841372015-05-12T21:10:26.240-07:002015-05-12T21:10:26.240-07:00Terrific use of the roofing felt!
