I love the lovebirds <3

I do a lesson with 4th grade where I give them a list of birds (some with really funny names) and they have to interpret the name into their artwork. I'm always amazed at the creativity they exhibit in their bird's habitats!Mrs. Claypoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13894072621209882113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-89824237929473596752012-02-13T05:29:16.443-08:002012-02-13T05:29:16.443-08:00Thanks Pat and Christie! The base was painted with acrylics in blues, greens and white with a sponge rather than a brush. Some children swirl the paint around and others like the first shown and my 4th graders blot on the paint for a textured effect. From there the children painted the body, beak and eyes of feathers with more acrylics. The following week oil pastels were used to add more details. Hope this helped.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01659049026365545639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-66352684833954998722012-02-12T19:08:10.977-08:002012-02-12T19:08:10.977-08:00What techniques did you use to make the gorgeous p...What techniques did you use to make the gorgeous peacocks?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2764202135165479575.post-11247275109991147342012-02-12T13:59:35.465-08:002012-02-12T13:59:35.465-08:00I love the negative space hearts!!
